T-minus 18 hours

Everything seems to be packed into the car.
Recently Acquired essentials:
-POWER INVERTER
-Garmin GPS
-Sansa Fuze mp3 player
-THULE Roof Rack
-Some random ass cargo carrier James' mom had
-A wicked red suitcase to pack all my clothes in, I swear the young Japanese couple in Jim Jarmusch's Mystery Train had the same one
-Another compression bag to squeeze all my wintery coats into. Detroit I am ready
-Lots of stamps, gotta keep people updated


Leaving town in tomorrow around 10...hopefully. We have a rockin rideshare friend going to Richmond,VA. We'll prolly hang out there for a few hours and stretch the legs out then continue onwards to the Balt and meet up with Jamz good friend...something, Sarah I think?
We'll be there for a a day or so, then onward to PHILADELPHIA.

I need to find a more efficient manner of posting pictures to this thing.

Castell Photography is pleased to announce the opening of the juried exhibition, The Human Condition. The juried exhibition features photo-based work which explores the ideas of human existence in a political, social, and/or personal context. The theme was open to each individual’s interpretation, and the gallery accepted works from lens-based artists both nationally and internationally.

The juror for The Human Condition was Diana Stoll...

Over 300 photographs were submitted to The Human Condition, and entries were received from all over the world, including Iceland, Australia, and Spain. Stoll selected 53 of these images to be exhibited at Castell Photography. A Juror’s Choice Award was given to Rebecca Drolen of Bloomington, Indiana, who is awarded with a solo exhibition at Castell Photography for the 2011 season. Two Honorable Mentions were also awarded to Ryan Vahey of Vermont, and Charlotte Shuber of Georgia.

An opening reception to honor all accepted artists and the award winners will be held on Friday, October 29th from 5-8 p.m. Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served. The exhibition will be on view at Castell Photography from October 29th through November 27.

In other news, I'm gonna be leaving the lovely metropolis of Asheville for an undetermined length of time to travel across the country with my good friend Jamz Ward.
Therefore this blog is going to become more a travel blog for awhile with random art stuff interspersed, not that it has been a particularly anything type blog to begin with.
We'll be traveling from A'ville to Baltimore, Philadeplhia, New York, Buffalo, Detroit, Chicago, St.Louis, somewhere in Kansas, Denver, Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Portland...
that's all we have so far...
