Highway 101

After ending our month in Portland we picked up a rideshare person and started heading south. We took the Redwood Highway aka Highway 101.










A vista point.
There was a utility worker guy nearby who recommended a particular cove nearby where there were reports of whales playing ON THE BEACH. Not nearby but on it. As in, they would slide up and around in the shallows and waves.

Alas, We didn't make it there due to epic vistas down the road and the temptation of the beach.

Explored Arcata a bit after we dropped off our rideshare there. Arcata is weird, lots of people bumming in the square, nothing is open after 6.
So... we went to Eureka instead. Ended up sleeping in the car, fairly comfortably at that.
